Rivica... a small port of great hedonism.


The story of Rivica Restaurant in Njivice on island Krk is the story of a generational commitment and devotion to gastronomy and culinary. It is a story of passion, hard work and perseverance that has been going on since 1934. It was then that the elite of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy began to visit it while discovering the exotic and unspoilt nature and the soothing climate of Kvarner and the island of Krk. Over time, the restaurant has risen to the top of the island's, Kvarner's and Croatia's gastronomy.

Today, their cuisine is predominantly focused on Krk and Kvarner tradition, but there is still a touch of the monarchy and the "cucina veneta", which remain the main guidelines for the preparation and service of the dishes themselves.


The casual 6-course menu offers:

cream of stockfish on white

octopus with cuttlefish sauce, eyelashes, buratta and peppers

soup

prawn soup, dehydrated vegetables, prawn consommé, prawn tails

warm starter

lamb crown, coarsely ground polenta, tomatoes, carrots, peppers

Warm starter

šurlice* with prawn tails

main course

flounder fillet, flounder sauce with prosciutto, broskva**, young peas

dessert

fritulas, berries, homemade jam, mango ice cream, pollen


* traditional pasta from island Krk

** a type of indigenous cabbage typical of Kvarner and Dalmatia


Price of the menu: € 69.00 per person


Drinks are not included in the price.
