In mid-2023 we have been awarded with the “GREEN KEY” for our continuous efforts for sustainability and taking care of our nature. For that reason, we strive to encourage you to use the sustainable ways of migrating while staying at the Triangel Boutique Hotel. So, think of walking and hiking from the hotel door instead of driving to see the magic waterfalls, endless mountain views, clean & clear rivers, lakes, springs or just enjoy the meadows. Next to the hotel is also a beautiful cycling path ready for your discovering.
We encourage you to find all the magical places of the Julian Alps and enjoy the fresh air and take inspiration from the best nature has to offer. For all those who aim to climb the highest peaks we suggest consulting at the reception if some help is needed. However consider also to hire a competent and well-informed local tourist guide or an experienced mountain guide.
With the Green Key certification, we have been invited to join the Slovenia Green accommodation & cuisine awarded by Slovenian Tourist Board for our mutual contribution for a waste free environment (waste separation) and for taking care in saving energy (water, electricity consumption).
Some further and very encouraging steps toward sustainable mobility were also made on the destination level and wider in the Julian Alps area. Kranjska Gora aims to regulate the traffic on Vršič mountain passs and in Vrata valley in the near future.
For the time being please note the bellow information regarding the sustainable mobility in our region.
Kranjska Gora is re-entering the summer season with bus services to the Vrata Valley and a tourist bus that will circulate around Kranjska Gora.
As the landscape and preserved cultural heritage pass by you on the tourist bus, you will feel the pulse of the places under Triglav. The bus is intended for all visitors who like to travel between places on a relaxing holiday, and for locals to help them with their daily chores, for whom the use of the bus will be free of charge. Children up to and including the age of 6 years travel free on the bus, everyone else will pay €3 for a day ticket. The tourist bus will run between 1 July and 31 August 2023 and the nearest stop to Triangel Boutique Hotel in in the nearby Camp Špik.
Please be informed also that the new car park Na Prodih in Mojstrana (old railway station) will now be charged. The car park has a capacity of 123 parking spaces for cars, including 7 spaces for disabled persons and two spaces for charging electric vehicles (not yet in operation), and there is also a bicycle shelter.
Parking costs EUR 1.00 per hour and EUR 10.00 per day. From 1 July, a free shuttle bus will also pick up passengers at the car park.
